Only Default (Ambience) and the vBulletin skins are enabled

For the time being, I'm just having these two styles selectable while I go through and either fix or remove the others.

Sorry to those that want a dark style, it's hard to work on both a dark and light style regarding global changes, as one may be visible for either light or dark but not visible for it's latter.

I used a dark skin, now I see the light...it burns...(I don't really mind the change, except the fact that it burns)

Re: Only Default (Ambience) and the vBulletin skins are enabled

Yeah, my pcs screen is bright, so I normally use a dark skin, so this one is really bright, but I shall adjust.

:naughty:

It was quite a fun game, as it tested your knowledge of people posting styles as well as your ability to remember sigs and avatars. However, it probably will look a bit better fixed.

It was a surprise

it burns my gothic eyes

but as long as darkness will return

I am willing to suffer the terrible burn.

:p glad I know what was happening otherwise I might have gone mad looking for a dark skin

Whoa, everything on my computer is dark, right down to the desktop themes/skins, it certainly is better for the eyes, though. Good to broaden your horizons anyway. :p

Take your time n0e. :nodding:

At some point, he isn't removing the skins permanently, just updating them.

Indeed, vB3 Grey is definitely my favorite style (except for Hextension), the grey is easy on my eyes. It has weathered many a forum change.

SteveCormacke January 4th, 2005 08:05 PM

Re: Only Default (Ambience) and the vBulletin skins are enabled

The only downside to VB3 skins is that they don't have "quick edit" feature. Other than that, I prefer them over any other skin.

Re: Only Default (Ambience) and the vBulletin skins are enabled

Ow. Seriously. Ow! I'm a dark room, looking at dark sites, then come here, expecting dark Plasma and am met with angelic white.

TEH HORROR!

Good thing this is the first thread I set eyes on(once they adjusted), or I'd have been wandering through every option on every page, desperat;y seeking relief from the white. Ah well. I'll just squint.

Through a pair of sunnies.

if the style is so bright on your monitor it's hurting your eyes, you definately have your brightness setting way too high. Ambience isn't even pure white, just slight off colorings to grey. Also, try upping your screen's refresh rate if it's at 60hz. That speed will make your eyes hurt as well.

Yes, actually we're in the process of making a new default style that you can switch back and forth between it being dark and light.

sounds good.

i remember at one point there were options for hex numbers, and it was going to have something to do with the style. was whatever that was scrapped?

If you can't take it, just go to The Black Library sub-forum in The Melee, it still has the tren_z skin on it.

I just disabled them from users selecting them... didn't fully delete them

it's okay n0e, i was actually pondering putting my style back to the default style, Ambience. Also, both my bulbs in my room blew out so the computer is doubling as a light. Hope you get the styles fixed soon.

That would be fine, unless you have a monitor that doesnt support that.

Very funny... Well I didn't notice anything, I use the default skin anyway. :D Fits my Firefox Skin better, in fact, almost exactly.
Perhaps some darker skins, but not so dark as what you have now.
