The GF Store?
 

We've come to the point on where we need to decide if we are keeping some of the new hacks. The Store is one of them. If we keep the store we will find new benefits and new dirty tricks that we can pull on people. If we don't keep the store everyone can live peacefully again without getting their Custom Title's changed (AzH). Well its up to the community now so vote!

I thought and still think it's a good idea. Maybe it needs to improve but IMO, we should keep it. After all, it's the only way for the non-admins to make some dirty tricks. :rolleyes:

i like it. just whish there was more info about it. i.e how much stuff costs. and how many points you get for doing thngs. like when it started i used to get 5 point for a reply. now i get 1. just would have liked to have know that was coming.

I like it, but that faq has to get made when you guys are finished with it. So far its 5 to 5, but i hope you keep it! :)

I hate to say it is somewhat dumb but was a good attempt at getting some more activty on the forums:D I don't want some n00b to me from a forum on the basis that he hates me. Also having to spend 525 pts to change your title is stupid. Unless you get some karma quickly or have 525 posts you can't chage your title from the defult.

I think the store is a pretty cool and adds more fun. I do think that it should be easier for you to change your custom user title.

I like the store but I don't like the fact that you gain only 1 point per reply and needing to spend points to change your title that's plain stupid

And thats the point obviously, it shouldn't take a short amount of time to be able to buy most things, you have to be a regular member.

I DON"T GET IT!!!!!!! i'm new so i don't get it, and when my bro was around it didn't exist????? how do you get points? what's forum password? why would i buy one? what about forums access??? WTF? and ppl can change my name from jesus like spie to say, boobers? AHHHH please someone explain what everything does and it's cost! would it be possible in the store to buy yourself out of being banned? (that would be awesome, like bailing out of jail! we should sugest that to n0e!)

Only you can change your name by buying that option in the store. If that name is something that goes against one of the Gaming Forums rules, an administrator may change it without warning. Think before acting.

Well, the things in the store are pretty self - explanatory. If you don't have enough points, it will say the option is out of stock. All prices are listed in the store, which can be found here: http://www.gamingforums.com/ushop.php

Again, that is what the forum access option is for. If you get banned from a forum, you simply buy that option and you will gain your access back.

This sucks! Nothing's left. I was hoping to change my name.
Say, that's a good question. I want the name Nexus but it's taken (by a member who joined 2 years ago and has no posts at all or anything) So, is it possible to change my name to Nexus?
I say though, that we should renew all these options soon. Like in a month or so. I didn't want to save points for nothing!

When you get enough money they become available to you to buy but you have t o have your points out of the bank.

Get rid of the store. I have barely been back, but through my quick exploration of the features, the store has already left a bad taste in my mouth. I think GF should be about the quality of your posts, not the snazzy option that you had to spam to have enough points to buy.

EDIT: As sort of a clarification, I am fine with using the store to create your own unique identity, like through the custom title to be purchased. But, I just need to change my title when I become fully back (I will no longer be gone...), but I only have 100 some points. With the current store layout, I am stuck with my out of date title (created before the store was born). Why not let people change their titles, but still let people buy titles with extra features? The freedoms that the users of GF have always had are being taken away one by one! ;)

I think the store is awesome. It adds more to the forum than just posting. Its also fun to screw around with a few buddies, joke around with them.
