Dragon Ball (Live Action) Movie

If you didn't already know they are making a film of one of my favorite childhood shows Dragonball Z, unfortunately it appears they are butchering the film (in my opinion). This is exactly what I thought it would be. Hollywood took a popular anime, and turned it into an American teenager popcorn flick.

In better news they are re-releasing the Dragon Ball series in HD with all new voices(re-recorded), all new music and most of the stupid filler parts cut out!

Should debut April 5th actually, as a weekly series in Japan called Dragon Ball: Kai

It's so ridiculous, I mean how often do you see a kid named Goku in these modern times? I didn't see it yet, just cause I think it's so bad. For super saiyan do you think they just put a yellow wig on him? lol anyways did you hear they're making G.I joe too? I know its not an anime, but it has to do with hollywood ruining every childhood show.

Already saw the movie (glad i didn't pay for it). The movie was complete utter crap. Any Dragon Ball fan will be hugely disappointment by this abomination.

Spoiler:

No Super-Saiyan (this is fine as there should be no Super Saiyans at this time period.),
Goku lacks a Tail,
Goku is afraid of Girls while Yamcha isn't (though Yamcha is really retarded),
Roshi has hair,
Roshi lives on an Island in the middle of a lake in the City Bulma lives in,
Goku and Gohan live in the suburbs of a City,
Chi-Chi has a wild party at her castle on Fire Mountain which Goku once and for all beats up his school bullies without throwing a fist,
Goku has bullies in School where he's forbidden to harm them,
Goku as a crush on Chi-Chi in Highschool,
Chi-Chi is popular in High School though is also a Martial Arts in Secret,
Bulma isn't looking for the Dragon Balls though has a Dragon Ball Radar called 'DBE' (Dragon Ball Evolution) which it's Goku that tells Bulma about the Dragon Balls,
the Nameks are evil Gods (or at least Piccolo) that controls an Evil God known has Oozaru (which at least turns out to be Goku),
Goku transforms into Oozaru at the site of a complete Solar eclipse instead of a Full Moon,
Oozaru is probably from 9ft to 12ft tall instead of 5 or more stories tall,
The Dragon Balls give Goku visions of the future,
Roshi dies (killed by Piccolo in Battle) but is resurrected by the Dragon Balls,
Piccolo kills Grampa Gohan,
Mai (the girl that is supposed to work for Pilaf) works for Piccolo and is able to transform like Puar and Oolong whom are not in the movie,
Goku is killed by Mai and is resurrected by Master Roshi with Kamehameha, The Kamehameha wave is considered an Air-Bending attack (Avatar the Last Airbender reference)

The movie destroys Dragon Ball for all Dragon Ball fans!

Dragon Ball Kai, on the other hand, I recommend!

Saw DBE with some friends, just for the sake of seeing one of our favorite childhood programs made into a movie, and the general consensus was that it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

So will Dragonball Kai be redubbed in English? As I watched DBZ dubbed i feel as though I should watch DBK dubbed.
