Default Anime of the Week (w/o July 6th)/Month/Whenever Someone Decides to Change This: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya follows the high school life of Haruhi Suzumiya, a young and very active high school girl, and those who are caught up in her antics. While Haruhi is the central character to the plot, the story is told from the point of view of Kyon, one of Haruhi's classmates.

Kyon is an ordinary freshman high school student who has recently given up his fantasies of espers, time travelers, and aliens as he left middle school. When he chooses to speak to Haruhi, he unwittingly sets off a chain of events which drag him into surreal situations; he is drawn further into a world eerily like the fantasies he had just managed to outgrow, with Haruhi at its center. Ruleys Review

Ok, so i hadn't really taken anime seriously in my early life. Watching shows such as Naruto, Avatar, Cardcaptors and Galatik Football in my younger years for sheer amusement. However, when i got older and started to look back on those "cartoons" i soon realised that they were all from the genre of "Anime". Upon going out on a search for good Anime to watch turned up lots of variety and i ended up with this show in particular catching my eye.

I'll get to the point. The Melancholy of Harhui Suzumiya is one of the most random and unpredictable anime series i have seen for some time. I PERSONALY THINK ITS AWESOME!!! The plot line twists so much that it soon looks like a tornado. The humor can make you giggle and laugh even if its inapproproate. The characters are simple and so is the plot, even with these things in mind it can be considered a solid anime to watch.

Series 1 is out and Series 2 is just on the horizon (Kinda) So i would advise that you check it out, see what you think. If you time it right, you could probably finish Series 1 as Series 2 is released!

9/10

Enjoy,
Ruley

Only 14, surprisingly it's the most popular show in japan with that many episodes that came out such a long time ago.
