It took a while, but the award images are finally done (thanks to nozyspy).
If you won an award (list) here is what you have to do to get it shown in your profile:
-download the pictures from here
-(optional) turn them into a gif consisting of the awards you may have won during the or the last couple of years
-upload that gif at a location where it will have enough bandwith to last for a while (if nothing else comes to mind you can try the forum's image gallery which you can find under community/pictures & albums)
-post a html link with the award gif as background and your usertitle as text here
This is what the link might look like:
HTML Code:
your user title text br <img source=linktoyouraward.gif>
If you don't know how to make a gif ask in the graphics department. Maybe one of our mods (or anyone else who has some spare time) can post a tutorial on how to create your own gifs.
And don't forget these important points:
-user title text has to be unformated plain text for members and advanced members, mods and above can provide formated text
-if you change the usertitle you will lose the award image, it will not be replaced until the next annual awards
-do not include awards you did not win, otherwise your avatar/signature/usertitle will be permanently disabled
-only official spam award pictures (i.e. those spam awards which were won in this forum) are allowed in the profile
I have not posted because I am old, and have no knowledge of coding. I have tried following tutorials for making .gif files, and I always get too confused. Plus is that coding you posted to make the .gif go into your user title? What is it, and what does it do?
All of my graphics work is done in PowerPoint. The only reason I figured out how to use that is because I took a semester of classes for it when I was in University. As for Photoshop, GIMP, Adobe, or what have you, I have no idea. That said, if I am going to have any chance of getting my awards into my title (which is not bloody well likely), I need someone who knows what they are doing to do it, or to post clear-plain-english instructions formatted for old people who spent the first half of their lives in a world where computers never even existed. Such as a series of screenshots showing to click this, then this, and so on.

All I did was assemble the winners lists (like I did last year). Even though that did take nearly an hour for each list. Thank you for the mention anyway. :don:

No worries, getting those images into the profile is kind of the point of those awards

Someone wanted to write a tutotiral, at least someone said so in the staff forum. Maybe you should go there and pester him to get on with it
ok old fella. Send me the images of all your awards and i'd throw them into an animated gif or something. Fyi it isn't done in adobe or whatever. Its purely witchcraft and black magic.

if anybody wants to get all their images into an animated gif and more, drop a bomb in my inbox.
Note that the "and more" service is available only for the first two sons of Adam only. The rest will only get the regular gif which you can create easily with the aforementioned online resource too.
